About Me

Good day, dear reader. My name is Vlado. I was born in Serbia (Loznica), where I completed both high school and music school (classical guitar class). I later earned my Master’s degree in Information Systems at the University of Belgrade, School of Organizational Sciences, graduating with an average grade of 8.35/10. I currently speak 5 languages fluent (Serbian, English, Italian, French and Hungarian), and I am learning another 3 (German, Spanish and Portuguese)

Professional Background

Since graduating, I have grown into a dedicated and skilled developer with broad experience across many IT fields. After 10 years of working in Belgrade, I found a job in Italy, where I worked in Milan for 6 months, and after that, in Varese in Joint Research Center (JRC) Ispra of the European Commission, for about 4 years. My very last project was with the UN (United Nations), which was an app for medical workers, which I developed in Angular. I always valued all of my international experiences and contacts around the world. After this, and around the period of the pandemic, I returned to Serbia. Currently I am learning Hungarian language in order to get my citizenship of Hungary.

Having worked with top-notch people in their respective IT branches, I have picked up, over the course of my career, the invaluable skills, but – equally as important – insights and soft skills needed to create things in a fun and engaging manner to the user. The way the things are done in civilization type 1 (for the followers of Rick and Morty, especially interesting 😉 )

Frameworks that I have a big and concrete success in are:
Angular, Magento 1, Magento 2, Selenium, Moodle, WordPress, Slim PHP, Laravel, Swift, Flask, but also pure PHP.

Technologies that I cover thoroughly (which the frameworks above are based on) are:
SQL, PHP, Javascript, Typescript, Swift, Python.My core areas of expertise include:

• E-commerce platforms (WooCommerce, Magento 1, Magento 2)
• Games! (both leisure and hazard-based gaming, in swift, typescript (Phaser 3), and previously in Flash)
• Custom websites and data visualisation systems
• Statistical data and analytics portals
• Accommodation booking and scheduling platforms
• Payment gateway platforms

Music and Creativity

Music has always played a vital role in my life. I studied classical guitar in my early years, and over time have developed a vast repertoire of classical and contemporary pieces. Playing guitar is more than just a hobby—it’s a core part of my creative identity. My best ideas often emerge through the artistic lens that music provides.

Other Interests

Outside of technology and music, I enjoy a variety of personal interests including table tennis, gaming, cycling, of course, travelling and exploring the creative edges of visual and interactive design. These activities keep me inspired, curious, and always learning.
